Go Daddy e-mail settings

Dec 23

gdTo configure your email account on most email clients this is the information you need. Please remember to setup your incoming and outgoing ports and to use your complete email account as username.

Username
It will be your complete email address e.g. email@example.com

Password
The password associated with that specific account

Incoming Mail Server
pop.secureserver.net

Outgoing Mail Server
smtpout.secureserver.net

The next step is important, if you do not setup the incoming and outgoing ports your email account will not be able to send or receive messages.

Incoming Port
The normal incoming port is 110
The SSL incoming port is 995

Outgoing Port
The normal outgoing port is 25, 80 or 3535
The SSL incoming port is 465

Note: If you don’t know what SSL is you probably won’t need it.

How to get rid of Microsoft Narrator

Dec 18

If you ever use Microsoft Narrator you will find out that it is almost impossible to disable once active, the common way to close a program does not work and when you restart your computer it will be there waiting for you.

Follow these instructions:

1. Access Control Panel
2. Click on the “Ease of Access Center” icon

3. On the lower section called “Explore all settings” click on “Use the computer without a display”

4. Uncheck the box next to “Turn on Narrator”

5. Press the “Save” button

Please note that if you have multiple users with the same issue you have to disable Microsoft Narrator on each account.

Disable Microsoft Narrator for all users
If you wish to disable it for everyone, login to your administrator account, access the “Ease of Access Center” section in Control Panel, on the left there is an option called “Change administrative settings”, check the box next to “Apply all settings to the logon desktop”, press the “Save” button and restart your computer.
