Losing monitor calibration after restarting in Windows 7
Jan 29

QUESTION: I just installed Windows 7, every time I restart the computer the monitor cal
ibration goes back to its default value, what can I do?
Seems like another program is interfering with Windows color profile or the profile might be damaged and you may need to recalibrate.
You can try the solutions below.
SOLUTION #1
1. Go to Control Panel > Color Management > Devices
2. Select the ICC Profile and set as default.
3. Press the ‘Close’ button
If you do not have any ICC Profile listed, you need to re-calibrate your monitor and select it as default.
SOLUTION #2
If you have any Adobe Software that may use a Gamma Loader, you need to prevent it from loading a different color profile.
1. Go to the Start Menu > All Programs > Start Up
2. Delete Adobe Gamma Loader by right clicking on the link and selecting ‘Delete’
If you have other causes for losing the monitor calibration after restart feel free to leave a comment.
