5 reasons to choose Foxit Reader

Posted on February 23rd, 2011

Before we begin I must be clear that I am not being paid for this post and this is definitely NOT an ad, I get this asked a lot and it is time to make public note about it. So, why do I always recommend Foxit Reader?

Many people seem to think that by choosing any PDF reader other than Adobe, they are somehow getting an inferior product, this is not necessarily true.

Here are five good reasons why you should get Foxit Reader.

1. Foxit Reader is faster.
The loading time for a PDF reader should not be over 10 seconds, specially if the document is a couple of pages long.

2. Foxit Reader is lighter.
Foxit Reader takes very little memory resources from your system, try it and you will see the difference.

3. Foxit Reader is free.
This is an easy one, although they offer a paid version for the PDF creator, the reader remains completely free.

4. Foxit Reader is safe.
You have probably heard of the security issues with PDF files, well Foxit Reader has your covered, they keep the product updated with the latest security patches to keep your computer safe.

5. Foxit Reader is clean.
When you install Foxit Reader the only annoying thing they offer is a toolbar, but it is easy to uninstall. Adobe installs unwanted software from their “partners” to the installation process that slows your computer down and takes more resources.

BONUS: Foxit Reader does not need to restart your computer after installation and does not keep bothering you about updates all the time.

If you are still not convinced, just try it for a month and you will see the difference. You can thank me later.
